Turn a static page into a small app

A webpage becomes a small app when two things exist: who is here, and something that lasts after refresh. Hereon calls those Users and Cloud Data.
If your HTML used localStorage, Studio can keep one shared copy for everyone on the link, or a copy for each person. Writes go through Platform.db. Visitors who need to come back on another device continue with the Hereon account. Each app only sees an id for itself.
That covers habit trackers, polls, forms, guestbooks, checklists, and small leaderboards. It does not cover running Node, cron jobs, or arbitrary APIs. If you need those, host the frontend here and keep the backend elsewhere.
You can export Cloud Data from Studio at any time, on every plan including Free.
When Cloud Data is the right next step
Leave Cloud Data off for a resume, a menu, a PDF, or a calculator that resets on refresh. Turn it on after the page already works as a public URL, and only if a vote, form answer, or personal list should survive a new phone.
Studio offers This device (still localStorage), One shared copy (everyone on the link sees the same data), or A copy for each person. Shared and Personal write to Hereon. The original HTML still runs if you switch Cloud Data off later.
Forms and polls without a form builder
If ChatGPT already gave you a form, publish that HTML and enable Cloud Data. You do not rebuild the fields in Google Forms or Jotform. Submissions show in Studio → Inbox. The HTML form that saves page and the Feedback, RSVP, and Waitlist templates start from this same job.

What Cloud Data is not
It is not a database product, a file disk, or a place to store other people’s private data. Caps exist per plan. Hosted JavaScript talks to Platform.db, Platform.auth, and Platform.storage — not your own API, and not Node or Python on Hereon.
